Strategic Planning Process - Environmental Scans

Throughout 2009, Tower Foundation board and staff engaged in a strategic planning process that was designed to provide direction for the Foundation’s future grantmaking.  A significant part of this process was to gather information about our current fields of interest.

To that end, the Foundation commissioned the TCC Group to perform an environmental scan in New York and Massachusetts in the areas of:  mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities for children and adolescents; and early childhood and primary education.  This information was augmented by staff research, focus groups with various stakeholders, and face-to-face interviews with current and past grantees.
 
Summaries of the information gathered are provided for public view.  It is our hope that you will find these materials both interesting and helpful. This information was current as of August 31, 2009.
