Welcome > What We Fund > Education EducationThe Foundation's goal in the Education category is to facilitate improvement in the academic outcomes of youth pre-kindergarten through grade 8 in ways that will lead to academic success and enhanced opportunities later in life. We seek to accomplish our goal by funding early childhood education projects that prepare young children for school and by working directly with school districts, and private and charter schools using requests for proposals (RFPs) in specific topic areas. Our Early Childhood Education Grant Guidelines are issued on an annual basis with letters of inquiry due in mid-December. The grant guidelines provide information about the Foundation's target population, focus areas, and application procedure. Topical RFPs are released periodically. We encourage you to review the grant guidelines and RFPs carefully and to submit a letter of inquiry or pre-application should you have a program or project that qualifies. If your letter or pre-application is selected for further consideration, you will be asked to complete a full grant application. Grant applications are accepted by request only. Please see the Annual Early Childhood Education Grant Guidelines or the 2010 Preschool Curriculum Request for Proposals (RFP) for further information.
